Title TOGA™: Assessment of the Safety and Effectiveness of Transoral Gastroplasty in the Treatment of Morbid Obesity

Description The objective of the study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of the TOGa system for the treatment of morbid obesity. The device under investigation is referred to as the TOGa™ Transoral Gastroplasty Stapling System and is composed of the TOGa Sleeve Stapler and the TOGa Restrictor.

A secondary objective is to determine the effect of the treatment on comorbidities and quality of life measures.

Inclusion Criteria o BMI ≥ 40 or ≥ 35 with one or more co-morbidities

o History of obesity for at least 2.5 years

o History of stable weight (defined as a change in weight of ± 10%) for one year prior to the screening visit

o History of failure with non-surgical weight loss methods

o Suitable candidate for bariatric surgery based on the results of their psychological and physical evaluations.
