• Spiration® IBV® Valve System: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Multicenter Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Effectiveness of the IBV Valve System for the Treatment of Severe Emphysema —The objective of this randomized, blinded, controlled trial is to demonstrate the ability of the IBV Valve System to be safely implanted in selected airways of human subjects and to improve disease related health status. The Spiration IBV Valve System is intended to be implanted in the lung airways for the treatment of emphysema. By limiting airflow to diseased areas of the lung, health status is improved.
