Please refer to this study by identifier NYSPI-IRB#: 5614R
Principal Investigator(s)
Laurence Greenhill
Purpose
Participating adolescent and two family members will be evaluated for psychiatric disorders, suicide attempt history, tendency for impulsive aggression, and life events. This interview lasts approximately 4 hours, which can be completed over several visits. In addition, all family members will be asked to give a blood sample or saliva sample for DNA research. All of the interviews will be provided at no cost. Because families will not benefit directly from the study, every participating family member will be compensated for their participation.
