Purpose

Studies have shown that when parents recover from depression their children benefit. The purpose of this study is to investigate how remission of parents' depression affects their children.

This study is not recruiting Healthy Volunteers.

Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
Parents:
*Mothers and Fathers ages 18-65 with children ages 7-17
*Currently depressed English and Spanish speakers
* Enrolled in depression treatment study, "Using Two Antidepressants to Treat Depression" (For more information on this study, please follow the link below OR call: 212-543-5734.)

Children:
* Ages 7-17
* Living at least %50 of the time with treated parent
