Purpose
We will provide an open clinical trial of 16 sessions of individual Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT) for persons meeting diagnostic criteria for Complicated Grief. People who lost significant others during 9/11 attacks and continue to suffer from CG will be offered this treatment through the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Participants receiving CGT will be evaluated during a three month follow-up phase.
