Current Projects

Predictive Value of MicroRNAs in the Progression of Oral Leukoplakias

To assess the differential miR expression profiles in non dysplastic and low grade oral leukoplakia archived tissue and correlate it with known clinical outcome [progression vs non-progression to oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC)] with the goal of developing a predictive clinical modality capable of identifying the nondysplastic and low grade oral lesions that are at increased risk of cancer development.
