Research Summary

Service Activities

Patrice F. Spitalnik, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is the Assistant Director of the M.D-Ph.D Program and teaches general pathology and surgical pathology to second and third year medical students, as well as to M.D-Ph.D students. She is the Section Director of the first year medical student histology course. She recently created a new course for M.D-Ph.D students on "Responsible Conduct of Research" in addition to a new lecture series, Grand Rounds for Graduate Students, in conjunction with the Office of Graduate Affairs. She is interested in medical education related to the interface between basic research and clinical medicine and the training of physician-scientists.
