Through this innovative program, medical knowledge and an understanding of clinical
practice are integrated into the biomedical PhD curriculum. Students join physicians on
medical rounds, attend the general medicine clinic and are assigned a clinical mentor.
Enhanced course offerings also incorporate an understanding of the principles of
medicine and disease into the education of PhD researchers.
